“Wherever you go, there you are”
Jon Kabat-Zinn has an entire book titled “Wherever you go, there you are”.
It’s time to really practice being your own best friend and having your own back.
To me, the quote “Wherever you go, there you are” means exactly that.
No matter the circumstances of life; tension or ease, love or fear, it is me who walks it all with me.
When I practice being my own best friend and having my own back, I have an inner knowing that there is love inside of me and that love shines both inwardly and outwardly.
When in fear, I want to run and hide, rant and rage!
I know that I will always come back to myself, with love and honor.
When I am not my own best friend, when I begin to believe that circumstances of life define me, I find myself putting myself down, calling myself names, questioning who I am based on the opinion of someone or something outside of me.
When I am not my own best friend, why would anyone else want to be?
When we think changing our circumstances will change how we feel, we do things like change jobs, move, end relationships, start relationships, go on a diet, and so on.
And then, “Wherever we go, there we are.”
We still feel the same.
If it’s time for you to stop running and hiding, ranting and raging, I’ve got you!
