We all need a retreat

As I prepare for my upcoming Fall Retreat,  I want to give you some ideas of how you can make a retreat yourself, if you are not joining us.

A solo retreat:

In a solo retreat, you are by yourself.  You go away somewhere for 48 hours.  This does not mean you stay home alone.  We all know if you’re home you will find some laundry or cleaning or something else to do.  Retreat literally means to leave.

It doesn’t matter where you go, a hotel, a cabin, the beach, wherever you can go, as long as it’s a place that you will have peace and a place you can love.

Bring your favorite yummy things.  A robe, candle, your favorite journal, your favorite foods, bath oil and book.  Arrive in the evening and get yourself set up.  Put your phone in airplane mode.  Spend the next two days walking, reading, disconnecting.  Use the journal questions at the bottom of the page and spend about 3-4 minutes writing on each one.  Then at the end of each day, read them over and add anything you may have missed on the first writing.

If you meditate, meditate while feeling the sensations in your body after writing.  Listen to the whispers of your answers to the questions.

A retreat with friends:

Do all of the above with a group of friends.  Be sure they are like minded friends.

A retreat with a leader:

There are many types of retreats.  Yoga and meditation, climbing, hiking, spa retreats, workshop retreats and more.  Find a retreat that speaks to you and GO!!

The transformations that happen on retreat are astonishing.  Here are some thoughts about previous retreats that I have led.

“There is something simply amazing about sharing a weekend with other woman who have faced similar struggles and are dedicated to finding ways to better themselves and practice self-care. We are never alone.

From conversation, fires, hot tubs, amazing meals from a personal chef, massages, meditation, Reiki, wine tasting and so much more..this will be a weekend I’ll never forget. It’s also shown me how far I’ve come in healing and what else I can do to continue to grow in my own journey of self love and worth.

Epic weekend Thank you
Sheila for allowing me this opportunity to enjoy this experience with you.” - Nikki L.

“Amazing weekend with incredible women. I am so emotionally high after spending time with all of you. Thank you Sheila, for hosting. I am counting the days til our next outing!” - Sue C.

“This weekend I took care of ME. Massage, meditation, mindfulness, noble silence, reiki, making new connections with like-minded women, healthy & deliciously prepared food, hot tub, bonfire, reading, sleeping… I didn’t realize how much I needed this. Thank you Sheila, for creating this safe and gorgeous opportunity.”- Alyssa B.

Here is a sneak peek at some more of the questions we will be exploring at our retreat.  Use them yourself and see where they lead.

1.      What do you know but don’t want to know?

2.      What question(s) do you repeatedly ask yourself?  Why?

3.      Describe who you are energetically.

Be sure to check your email for the next retreat, September, 2025!

With Love and Joy,

Sheila

I would love to work with you 1:1 to uncover your deepest dreams and desires!
