Ambivalence
You’re confused
Overthinking
Making lists
You need to make a decision but you want to make the right one
You have questions!
How much time will it take?
When will I know?
How will I know?
People come to me with these questions when they are in ambivalence. They may not even realize that they are ambivalent. Ambivalence feels like having one foot in and one foot out. Some days things are good, other days they aren’t. Nothing feels consistent. One minute you know what you want to decide, the next you’re questioning yourself.
You might be ambivalent about a relationship
Or how to discipline your child
Or about your career
Or about your body
Ambivalence is a feeling and a choice.
Often we stay in ambivalence out of fear of making a decision. Fear of the results of that decision.
In coaching we make powerful decisions about our lives because we value our time, our energy and the finite amount of time we actually have to be alive.
When you are ambivalent it can feel like you’re under constant pressure. It can also feel like you’re numb.
We don’t need to overthink and weigh all the options. We only need to come to a powerful decision.
The process in simple: (simple, not easy)
· First we focus on becoming present in our lives. The only moment that is real is the current moment.
· Then we focus on our brains. Where we are now is a result of all of the decisions we have made previously in our lives. Embracing the power of our brains helps build confidence and discipline.
· Then we focus on our hearts. We do the work to be in full belief that we can be present in our lives, use the power of our brains to make powerful decisions that make our hearts full.
Presence-Power-Belief
It’s inside all of us.
Let me show you how to bring it to the surface and use it make the most powerful decisions of your life.
Get out of ambivalence and into clarity.
With Love and Joy,
